The Marist FC is excited to announce that that GPA Residential has signed on as a club sponsor for the 2020 season. Managing Director, Marist Old Boy, Team Assistant Coach, Runner and (most importantly) parent, Jeremy Malaxos said he was looking forward to the 2020 season and watching his boys Marcus (Year 8) and Michael (Year 5) continue to develop their football skills in the Blue and Black. Higher Duties on the Cards for Angus
Marist super-coach Matt Angus capped off a successful 2019 by being appointed Claremont Colts coach for the 2020 season. The appointment will cease Angus' coaching capacity at Marist which includes stints in 1993 -1996, 1999-2002 and 2018-2019 "To be able to come back to Marist- a club I grew up with- and win two flags in two years was awesome." Girls, Girls, Girls
The Marist Football Club is on the verge of some significant growth in its female sector as the club plans to go from three female standalone teams in 2019 to five in 2020. in 2020 the Club will be fielding year 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 sides meaning they will require another 50 odd female players to sign up for the club in the coming months. With every added team, there is also a need for additional volunteers, so the club is seeking expressions of interests in coaching managers and players. Green-Shore sign on for 2020
Busy Marist parent, coach and committeemen Quentin Green has also signed on to become a Gold Level sponsor of the club through his construction company Green-Shore Builders. The company has built a reputation as specialists in home renovations through the western suburbs. Pictured with sons and Marist players Spencer (Y5) and Oliver (Y8), the Green boys have been great assets to the Club both on and off the field.
