Waterman kicked five goals on his WAFL debut for Claremont in 2016 as an 18-year-old. That season he played four WAFL senior matches averaging 12 disposals, four marks and kicked seven goals. He returned to WAFL colts level for the finals series and helped Claremont to a premiership, gathering 20 disposals and kicking four goals in the Grand Final.
After being drafted to the West Coast Eagles he struggled with injury in 2017 but since debuting in round one of 2018 he hasn’t looked back. The highlight of his career to date is the Round 6 NAB Rising Star nomination which was more for a very solid month rather than a once off performance. He works so hard for the team playing his role but always getting amongst the goals.
