Marist super-coach Matt Angus capped off a successful 2019 by being appointed Claremont Colts coach for the 2020 season.

The appointment will cease Angus’ coaching capacity at Marist which includes stints in 1993 -1996, 1999-2002 and 2018-2019

“To be able to come back to Marist- a club I grew up with- and win two flags in two years was awesome.”

Angus now returns as Coach Colts at the Tigers – a role he has also previously filled, “Claremont is a great club and I have always loved the opportunity to develop players into prospects for the higher duties. I look forward to seeing young players from our district coming through our talent pathway.” Angus said.

Fortunately, Matt will still be involved at Marist setting up a coaching development plan as well as supporting his two girls footy where he can.┬áThe Club wishes Matt all the best and is glad that he won’t be lost to the club, “it was obvious he should be coaching at higher levels so we were extremely lucky to have him reengage with the club and help us set up programs for future on and off field success.” Marist President Matt Mazzuchelli.
