2010 ANNUAL EVENTS CALENDAR

The Marist Football Club is renowned for its legendary annual social events for kids and for the parents who are pivotal to our ongoing success

*  Friday 7^th May 2010
ANNUAL MARIST ‘DERBY NIGHT’ UNDER LIGHTS
Pink Lace Appeal (in support of the Breast Cancer Foundation)
An absolute highlight for the Auskick & Modified age groups who get to play under lights in front of a large crowd on the Friday evening of the Mothers Day weekend. Players receive a free sausage sizzle & drink after the game whilst Mum’s enjoy a complimentary champagne. Extended family is welcome to watch the footy and enjoy our hospitality.

12’s MCG TOUR GAME – CARLTON –V- MELBOURNE FIXTURE
The Marist Football Club will represent one of these sides at half time in a fully self funded expedition. This is a fantastic event for the kids to visit Melbourne in a team environment and play at the MCG being undisputed Mecca of our great game.

MARIST FOOTBALL CLUB – SPONSORS & LIFE MEMBERS DAY
Marist Football Club shows recognition for its valued Sponsors and celebrates its proud history with Life Members and past players with a great event hosted by club President and Committee whilst watching the pride of our youth play footy. This year’s event will feature the 15’s as the game of the day.

MARIST FOOTBALL CLUB – ANNUAL QUIZ NIGHT
Plenty of fun and heaps of great prizes – get in early though as numbers are limited and virtually always sold out! Tables of up to 10 @ $10 per head Ring Kelvin 0414 722 576 or Steve on 0417 997 326 to reserve your table.

MARIST FOOTBALL CLUB – ANNUAL PARENTS SOCIAL EVENT

Mexican Themed – Karaoke Night:

Following past themes including “ABBA SOLUTELY”, “ROCK LEGENDS” & “MASQUERADE” evenings, the Mexican themed Karaoke Night will be well remembered as meeting all expectations. No shrinking violets here – everyone joined in (some folks could actually hold a tune – and by inference some could not!). Superbly organised this year by the fantastic Auskick crew and attended by a capacity crowd who came in Sombreros’ & Ponchos’ and sang, danced and enjoyed Coronas, Margaritas’ and maybe a few Tequilas. This was a fabulous way for parents to celebrate the end of the home & away season fixture.

*  MARIST FOOTBALL CLUB – ANNUAL RACE DAY
No footy! Just a strong bonding experience - a fantastic Saturday afternoon at the races where dads & mums can enjoy a few laughs away from the footy.

*  AUSKICK TROPHY DAY

Sunday 22^nd August 2010 from 10.30am

Every player receives a trophy, team photo, a free sausage sizzle & can of soft drink.

*  MODIFIED TROPHY NIGHT (includes Super 8’s)

Friday 3^rd September 2010 from 6.00pm

Please check with your team manager for your specific age group time – starts with the Super 8’s at 6.00pm sharp.

Every player in age groups 8’s - 11’s will receive a trophy, team photo, a free sausage sizzle & free can of soft drink.

Note: 12’s trophy presentations are awarded to 5 players only as selected by the team coach & manager.

Parents can relax and enjoy refreshments at our cheap bar prices.

*  2010 MARIST FOOTBALL CLUB AGM

Friday 17^th September 2010 at 7.30pm (during the youth awards presentation night – see below)

The 2010 Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday evening 17^th Sept 2010 at the Newman Sports Complex during the interval of the Youth age group trophy presentation night and should commence at approximately 7.30pm. If you wish to participate in any way you are welcome to attend. There shall be a few positions becoming vacant on the committee for 2011 and new members are most welcome to come on board and join the team… if you are website savvy for starters have I got a great job for you! (I’m serious).

*  YOUTH TROPHY NIGHT & CLUB AGM

Friday 17^th September 2010 from 6.00pm

Combined Youth Awards presentation night and the Marist Football Club AGM.

Please check with your team manager for your specific age group time – starts with the 13’s at 6.00pm sharp.

Every player receives a team photo, a free sausage sizzle & free can of soft drink.
