With the football season now up and going, it is timely to mention a lady who has shouldered a significant workload getting all our players registered.
The Club has 505 registered players this season and 190 Auskickers all whose parents need to have their questions answered, register, pay, and be placed in the appropriate team. Additionally, players from other clubs need to transfer in and out.
This whole process has been managed efficiently and quietly in the background by Maria Manning. With volunteers like Maria it’s no wonder we are one of the great Clubs.
Maria has been the Club’s Registrar (an important but unflattering position) since 2017 and 2020 has been made even more complex for her with COVID complications. She is a diligent and hard worker sometimes waking up other committee members with emails after midnight!
Her voluntary position also requires her to up-skill the Club’s Team Managers on the system and she even finds time to Team Manage her son Nic’s team.
For her day job she has also been putting out COVID spot fires in the medical fraternity.
She has two kids at the Club with Christian Year 6 and Nicholas Year 10, both of who love their footy!
Husband Dan proudly supports Maria and is always there to support the boys and his hard working wife.
